  • 500 g almonds pre -soaked Pre - soak the almonds over night or for 8 hours with 2 inches over the almonds worth of water

  • 500 g almonds pre -soaked Pre - soak the almonds over night or for 8 hours with 2 inches over the almonds worth of water

Instructions
  1. Rinse the almonds after soaking
  2. Add to blender with 2 litres of filtered water
  3. Blend until it resembles milk, around 60 seconds
  4. Pass the almond milk through a fine sieve into a glass jar
Recipe Notes

Variations Instead of almonds use cashew soaked for 2 hours, or instead of almonds use hazelnuts soaked for 8 hours, alternatively instead of almonds use macadamia nuts soaked for 8 hours. Add a tsp of vanilla extra or cinnamon+ a tbsp of raw honey.

You can buy nut milk bags to sieve the pulp from the milk The leftover pulp is great in smoothies the next day, topped on breakfast bowls or added to cake mixtures
